Talent Referral Bonus Program – Terms and Conditions
These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern participation in the Talent Referral Bonus Program (“Program”) offered by Express Employment Professionals, Covina, CA (“Express Covina”). By participating in the Program, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
Program Overview
We will pay a referral bonus to any eligible individual who meets the Program requirements, regardless of whether the Ambassador is an employee of Express Covina. The Referral, however, must be employed by Express Covina and remain active and in good standing on their assignment at the time of payout. Both the Ambassador and the Referral will receive the bonus through the Staffing Referrals Gift Card program.
If the bonus payment meets or exceeds the $600 federal tax threshold, the recipient will be required to complete tax forms and will receive a 1099.
Program Start Date
Effective Novemeber 1, 2025
Only referrals submitted on or after this date are eligible for the bonus
Referrals made prior to this date are not eligible, even if they later meet the 120-hour requirement
1. Eligibility
1.1. Participants must be legally authorized to work in the United States
1.2. Referrals must be employed and placed by Express Covina
1.3. Current Express Covina associates in good standing may participate as Ambassadors
1.4. Referrals must remain in good standing to qualify for the bonus
1.5. Self-referrals are not permitted
2. Referral Bonus Requirements
2.1. A bonus is earned only if the Referral:
Successfully completes the hiring process through Express Covina
Is officially employed and placed on assignment
Works a minimum of 120 hours on assignment
Both the Ambassador and Referral remain in good standing when the 120-hour threshold is met and at the time of bonus payout
2.2. Bonus Timeline:
Referrals must earn the 120 hours within six months of the referral date
Referrals who do not complete 120 hours within this period are ineligible
Hours worked outside this period do not count toward the bonus
2.3. Hours are calculated based on verified timesheets submitted and approved by Express Covina’s payroll system
3. Bonus Payment
3.1. Bonus amount and method of payment will be communicated at the time of referral
3.2. Bonuses are paid to the Ambassador within 30 days after the Referral meets the 120-hour requirement
3.3. The Ambassador must remain an active associate at the time of payout
3.4. All bonuses are subject to applicable taxes and withholdings as required by law
4. Program Limitations
4.1. There is no limit to the number of referrals an individual may make, provided each meets eligibility requirements
4.2. If multiple Ambassadors refer the same Referral, only the first documented and eligible referral will qualify for a bonus
4.3. Express Covina reserves the right to verify all information and deny payment for ineligible or fraudulent referrals
5. General Conditions
5.1. Participation does not alter the at-will employment status of any associate
5.2. Express Covina may modify, suspend, or terminate the Program at any time without notice
5.3. All decisions regarding eligibility, compliance, and payment are final and binding
5.4. This Program is void where prohibited by law
