Fleet & Equipment Mechanic
Location: Sacramento Ca
Schedule: Mon – Fri 7:00am-3:30pm
Pay: $25-$30 hr.
Express Employment Professionals is seeking a skilled and dependable Fleet & Equipment Mechanic to support maintenance and repair operations for a growing team. This position is ideal for someone who is mechanically inclined, thrives in problem-solving environments, and can work both independently and under pressure.
Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair fleet vehicles and equipment issues
• Perform trailer maintenance, including brakes, hubs, axles, and bearings
• Complete modifications and equipment upfitting
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems and wiring
• Conduct generator maintenance and load testing
• Perform preventive maintenance and routine inspections
• Ensure equipment meets DOT/BIT compliance standards
• Complete hydraulic and general mechanical repairs
• Coordinate with outside vendors for repairs when necessary
• Maintain truck readiness, including parts management and upkeep
• Assist with emergency response and field deployments as needed

Desired Qualifications

• Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on troubleshooting experience
• Ability to work in both shop (yard) and field environments
• Knowledge of fleet, trailers, and heavy equipment maintenance
• Experience with electrical systems, hydraulics, and diagnostics preferred
• Organized, dependable, and self-motivated work style
• Ability to stay calm and effective under pressure
